Lothar Werner Bohnisch passed away peacefully after a long and heroic fight against lung cancer on June 16, 2012 at the age of 60. Born in Berlin, Germany on November 11, 1951, Lothar was a twin son to Erika and Werner Bohnisch. Lothar played for Bayern Munich in 1969, living his youth with the world at his fingertips.
Lothar moved to the United States with his daughter in 1983. He was known by most for his love and expert knowledge of European cars. He was owner of Deutschland Motor Works of Houston in the 80's and early 90's; later moving his business to Kingwood, TX, under the name of European Concepts of Kingwood.
Lothar is survived by his loving family Beth Bohnisch, Vanessa (Andrew) Loftus, George Bohnisch and Juergen Bohnisch and family (Munich, Germany).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30th at 2pm at Holy Comforter Lutheran Church, 1901 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood, TX. In this spirit the family requests, that in lieu of the usual remembrances, a donation be made to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation.

I first came to know Lothar as a customer, bringing in an old car. Lothar and I hit it off immediately. He earned my respect and my friendship! Lothar was a blessing. We share in your morning. May God's peace be with you. Ken Hayes

To Lothar's Family. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. He will be missed by all those that he touched with his beautiful smile and charisma. I was his Banker and he would come in very often into the Branch and I worked with him for several years. I admired him very much for his courageous fight against cancer. May he rest in eternal peace. God bless you all! Rosie Morin

My sweet friend V,
Fighters must run in your blood line…..You and your family are in my daily thoughts and my nightly prayers…..I never had the pleasure of meeting your daddy, but I know that he was very special to you….You have your own personal angel with you, doing more now than he could ever do…While we are all grieving here on Earth, they are all welcoming him Home in Heaven. I love you. Your friend,

Vanessa and Andrew,
You know Lothar will be missed by our family very much. Whether in Texas or Rhode Island, we always had a great time with him. After his long fight against cancer, he is now peaceful.
Always remember how much Lothar loved you both with his entire being.
Love, Mom and Dad L.
