He is survived by:
Wife: Carrie LeAnn Travis of the home
Mother: Mary Kaizah McNeely of Claremont
Daughter: Taylor Margaret Gentry of the home
2 Sons: Austin Lee Travis of the home and Ruben Lee Travis, Jr. of Hickory
3 Sisters: Toni Travis of Maiden, Lee Lyton of Newton and Elaine Travis of Claremont
The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Welcome Baptist Church in Catawba with Rev. Richard Porter officiating.
Burial will follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery in Catawba.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. at Burke Mortuary in Newton.
Memorials may be made to: Mills Creek Middle School General Fund, 1041 Shiloh Road, Claremont, NC 28610.
