Thomas Hester Obituary

Thomas Lee Hester, 82, was born on August 10, 1942, to the late Joseph Hester and Thelma Robinson Hester. He passed away on June 15, 2025, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Finger Hester; and daughter, Shannon Hester. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1960-1964 traveling to 19 different countries. After the Marines he became an electrician and owned his own electrical business. He was known for the dedication to serving his country and his hard work ethic to provide for his family.

Tom is survived by his son, David Hester and wife Michelle; brother, Joe Hester and wife Nancy; sister Iona Eckard; grandchildren, Matthew Hester and Rachel Hester; great granddaughter, Remedy Romero; and several extended family members.

A graveside service will be held at 11am Monday, June 23, 2025, at Claremont City Cemetery.
