Ocala - Mr. Andrew T. "Andy" Halpin, Jr., age 80, of Ocala, Florida died on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. He was born in Boston, MA. and moved to Ocala in 1992 from Brockton, MA., where he spent most of his life as a carpenter. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and he was Baptist by faith. Andy loved woodworking, making Nativity Scenes and snow sleds & watching John Wayne movies. He was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur J. Halpin and his sister, Bernadine Collins. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of (31) years, Nancy H. Halpin of Ocala, FL.; his (3) sons, Andrew T. Halpin, III, Daniel Halpin and William Halpin, all of Massachusetts; (7) daughters, Susan Manderville of Brooksville, FL.; Linda Murphy, Carol Beals and Janice Shaw, all of Brockton, MA.; Diane McClelland of PA.; Jackie DeMari of Ocklawaha, FL. and Judy Wright of KY.; (25) grandchildren and (16) great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Roberts Funeral Homes, Bruce Chapel West, 6241 S.W. State Road 200, Ocala, FL. 34476 with interment to follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, one hour prior to service time.
