POPE,
BEVERLY BECKHAM, 62
Beverly Beckham Pope, 62, passed away from breathing complications at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach on Tuesday, March 31. She is survived by her brother, Glenn Beckham, her daughter, Janie Pope and her son, John Pope.
Beverly, also known as Coach Pope, Officer Pope and Mama Pope, will be remembered for her warm, welcoming personality and generous, enriching contributions to the lives of the people she came to know. Bev was a mother first, as well as a long-time law enforcement officer, baseball coach, mentor, animal lover and Christ follower. While her health caused her great strife over the last several years, she remained her truest self: strong and full of hope. That is how she would want to be remembered.
A memorial service will take place Sunday, April 12th at 3pm at Roberts Funeral Home in Dunnellon, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue. All who wish to celebrate Beverly's life are invited to attend. The family requests that donations be made to Kindred Spirits Sanctuary in lieu of flowers.

Beverly was a dear friend of my sister and our entire family since her early school years.
Beverly had great sense of humor and made the world more interesting and more fun. She had some great stories to tell involving her experiences as a Sheriff's Deputy. A favorite story which bears re-telling involves an emergency call to respond to a customer disturbance in an establishment in Chatmire. The call ended well and on a humorous note.
Beverly was a great Mom and a great Coach - evidenced by her outstanding daughter and son. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
