BOBBY RICHARDSON Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family of Dr. Bobby Richardson announces his passing. He crossed the bar on October 10, 2019. Bobby was born in Bessemer City, NC on January 10, 1935 to Margaret and Arthur Richardson. He was educated at the University of NC, Chapel Hill and continued on to its medical school. Dr. Bobby established his pediatric practice in Ocala in 1966 and faithfully served generations of its children.
Dr. Bobby will be remembered most for the patience, care and respect that he gave to his patients, but also for his skillful fishing out of Bonita Club. He had the perseverance, understanding and local knowledge necessary to make him a truly great fisherman.
Bobby loved his wife, Ann, his children, and grandchildren and was fiercely proud of their accomplishments. He will be greatly missed.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ann Richardson; his sister, Billie Sue Shrum (Ray) of Newton, NC; his son, Chris Richardson of Ocala; his daughter, Beth Cannon (Craig) of Ocala; and his two grandchildren, Alice Cannon and Harris Cannon.
His sister, Betty Parker (JC), passed before him.
A service will be held on All Saints' Day, Friday, November 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Ocala. Dr. Bobby would prefer that any expression of sympathy be in the form of a donation to Interfaith Emergency Services.

Loved this man. He was my pediatrician growing up and my daughters. I asked him when do you stop seeing me? He said When you get embarrassed to come in. I thought great. Unfortunately as a Junior or Senior in high school I went in and a mother asked me which kid was mine. Last visit as a patient with him that day. Was excited my baby could be his patient.

Dr. Richardson was the best. Loved the kids, respected their parents and never failed us in our time of needs when we were worried about our children. What a special person. Marion County has lost a great person. May he rest in peace and peace come to his family .

Dr. Bobby, what a wonderful man and physician! He took care of all of Mary Alice and "Pat" Patillo's kids, and they referred us to him for all four of our kids. They all loved him, and we were always confident and content they were in the best of hands in his care. We laugh in remembering the time my oldest son wandered down the hall and locked himself in an empty examining room. Dr. Bobby patiently and gently went down to the room, called through the door, and instructed Scott how to unlock the door. I only wish everyone's children could have had the blessing of being in his care. We will miss, revere, and honor him always.

Bobby Richardson was perfectly suited to be the outstanding pediatrician that he was--warm, compassionate, calm and understanding....and one of the finest men I have ever met in my life. He was a fixture of this community and will be missed by a multitude of people. Juanita and I offer our sincerest condolences to Ann and the family. We lost a great one when he was called away, but his memory lives on through the thousands of lives he touched along life's pathway. May he rest in peace.

I'm so sad to hear the passing of such a great Doctor! He was my pediatrician when I was little and then saw my children. I always felt comfort after leaving his appointments knowing everything was going to be ok. I want to think he's doing some heavenly fishing with the best including Dr Casey. My prayers are to the family. I know he made his whole family proud and that he will be missed greatly.

I'm deeply saddened to read of this incredible mans passing. He was my Pediatrician in the 1980's & also my daughters Pediatrician for a few years in the mid 2000's. I can still hear his calming words of I think she's going to be just fine anytime my new mom neurosis kicked into full gear. He was kind, knowledgeable and patient in spades.
My condolences to Dr. Bobbys family, I know you sacrificed so much of your time with him as he tended to the children of our community. Thank you for that, and may that time spent on caring for generations live on forever in our memories. ❤

My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, his families and friends at this time. Dr. Richardson was a great Pediatrician with an easy way about him. I was happy to work along side of him when he was working for the Florida Department of Health in Marion County. He was a serious and easy going man especially with his clients. He always had a smile and had a wonderful sense of humor. He always made time to talk with me personally when making referrals to me and explain why he was so concerned about this baby or child. I enjoyed working with him. He will be missed. My condolences to all his families and friends.

We deeply regret to hear of the passing of one the greatest men we ever knew in Ocalayour loved one, Dr. Bobby Richardson. We moved to Ocala in 1970, just a few years after he began his pediatric practice in Ocala. How blessed we were that some of our friends recommended that we get our three children in to see him. He continued to be their doctor until they were grown. I'm sure that he must have saved the lives of all three at one time or another. His kind, gentle, professional demeanor made him an outstanding pediatrician. Ann, Beth, and Chris, you have our deepest sympathies. Your entire family was very special to us. We shall be remembering you in our prayers in the days ahead.
