Dorothy Buck Obituary
Dunnellon - Dorothy Janet Buck, age 85 of Dunnellon, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at West Marion Community Hospital in Ocala. Dorothy was born in Narberth, Pennsylvania on November 20, 1924 to the late Alec & Dorothy (Taylor) Hicks and moved here in 1989 from E. Falmouth, Massachusetts. She retired from the West Falmouth Post Office as a Postmaster with more than 40 years of service. Her memberships include N.A.P.U.S., V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Red Hat Society. She was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels and the Falmouth Roadraces. Survivors include three sons, John (Gale) Newbold, David Newbold, Tim (Dana) Albury, three daughters, Mary Barnes, Ann (Ralph) Hall, Francesca Newbold, one brother Alec (Maureen) Hicks, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. from the Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon with Rev. Jeffrey Welch officiating. There will be no viewing hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
