EDGAR APPLEGATE Obituary
EDGAR ANDREW, 90
Citra - Edgar Andrew Applegate, 90, passed away, Sunday, January 20, 2013. Mr. Applegate was born and raised in Barnegat, New Jersey.
A survivor of Pearl Harbor, he traveled the world while serving 22 years in the military. After his retirement, he worked in security at the Sahara and Thunderbird Hotels in Las Vegas. He then retired to Florida. He was dedicated to Christ the King Catholic Church in Citra, attending faithfully and working as their caretaker for the last several years.
He is survived by his daughter, Betty Panjabi, Las Vegas; grandson, George (BPSS) Hernandez and nieces, Jeannie Bagmall, Carol Dittman and Leah Soltis.
A funeral mass will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Citra with Father Joseph Maniangat officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the church hall.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, Florida.
