Ocala - Helen E. Stevenson-Barnes, 69, died April 5, 2008. She was born on November 8, 1938 in New Castle, PA. to William Grover Stevenson and Nana Margaret Vosler Stevenson. She married Geoffrey J. Barnes, Jr. on March 18, 1990. She was a retired secretary for Corning Museum of Glass in the Book store. Helen received a BFA in Art Education from Syracuse University and attended Westminster College. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority at Syracuse and a former member of Rich Hill Presbyterian Church. Survivors include 3 sons: Richard Greger, Jr., Devon, PA., James Greger, West Lebanon, NH, Andrew Greger, Fairfax, VA.; 5 grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 13, 2008 12-3p.m. at R. CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, INC., Service will be held Monday April 14, 2008 at 10 a.m. at R. CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, INC with Rev. Dennis Bupp officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Helen E. Stevenson-Barnes Scholarship Fund c/o 171 Cedar Arts Center, Corning, NY 14830.

I, also, worked with Helen in the museum for several years and was so very sorry to hear of her death. Helen was such a beautiful and friendly person.
