LEON THOMAS Obituary
Ocala - Leon J. Thomas, 82, of Ocala, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2016. He was born in White Plains, NY to Walter and Anne Thomas and moved to Ocala in 2013 from Cadiz, KY. He was a NY State Corrections Sgt. He was a member of the VFW in Cadiz and had served in the US Navy during the Korean conflict, aboard the USS Soley. He was a big NASCAR fan.
Leon is survived by his wife, Dianne Thomas of Ocala; and three cousins.
No local services are planned, Mr. Thomas will be interred in The Oakwlood Cemetery in Mt. Kisco, NY. Arrangements are being handled by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala, FL 34470 (352)-629-7171. Online Condolences may be expressed at

Dianne. We are so sorry for your lose. And want to truly thank you for all the care , help and love you gave Leon . It made it possible for us to be with Leon that much longer. With love Butch and Sandy. Lee will be deeply missed by all . R.I.P. Lee. ❤
