Leonard Stanton Obituary
OCALA - Mr. Leonard T. Stanton "Tom", 81, a retired detective sergeant from Suffolk County, NY, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2010. Tom was born in Nesconset, NY on April 29, 1928 to parents, Leonard and Dorothy (Hargraves) Stanton. After retirement, he moved to Florida where he had thoroughbred horses and had a horse transportation business. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Patricia; his two daughters, Patricia Eldredge and Debbie Moore; two grandchildren, Devin Carbone and Dillon Moore; step-children, Eileen, Peter, and Daniel Winter. He had a heart bigger than himself and always showed it. All that knew him, loved him. God hold him in your hands and love him as we all do. God bless him and keep him in your arms. There will be a visitation from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, with funeral services at 7:00 PM, at Roberts Funeral Homes Downtown Chapel, 606 SW 2nd Ave. 352-622-4141.

My sincere condolances to Patty and family,
I loved this guy and we worked well together in the 6th Squard Det.and became fast friends.
I'm glad we kept in touch with each other after retirement and visited many times..........!I will miss him and in my heart of hearts I know he is in a good place.
