Mark Sombat Obituary
Ocala - Dr. Mark Sombat, age 53, passed away on December 17, 2008 in Ocala, FL. Dr. Sombat was a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and emergency room physician at Munroe Regional Medical Center, Ocala and West Marion hospitals, and in partnership at Med One Health Center, LLC. He moved to Ocala from Chardon, Ohio in 2004. Devoted family man and dedicated physician, Dr. Mark Sombat is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Nancy A. Sombat; loving daughters Margaret A. Sombat of Cleveland, OH; Jessica M. Carey and husband Timothy Carey of New York, NY; Sarah E. Sombat of Cleveland, OH; and Catherine G. Sombat of Ocala, FL; and one grandchild, Samantha. Beloved son of departed Louis M. and Elizabeth Mary Sombat; brother to Magdalene Kusner, Louis (Denise) Sombat, Mercedes (Duane) Pasquale, Regina Dolezal, Therese (David) Hornikel, Margaret (John) Bruening, Gerard (Anne) Sombat, Martha (Ken) Mauser, and MaryLou (John) Sombat. Son-in-law to Edward T. and Catherine A. Kriz; brother-in-law to Diane (Joe) Klak, Catherine (Jesse) Pennington, Carol (Terence) Maglich, Edward (Cyndi) Kriz, Thomas (Terese) Kriz, and Raymond (Gina) Kriz; uncle to many nieces and nephews. and friend of many. He will be missed by all. Memorial Mass will be Sunday, January 4, 2009 at 2:30 PM at Dr. Sombat's parish Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 5 S.E. 17th St. Ocala. Fl. with Father Pat Sheedy as celebrant. Memorials may be made to the Dr. Mark Sombat Memorial Fund C/O any SunTrust Bank of Ocala. Condolences may be posted at hiers-baxley.com. I wish to express my deepest sympathy to the family of a very wonderful man although we worked together for a very short time at
Brooksville Regional Hospital those where some of the best days there I knew that no matter what that day might bring the "batman would win in the end". He spoke often and lovingly of his family and may God hold you in the palm of his hand and help you with your healing
