Michael Byrd Obituary
Michael Robert Byrd, 38, of Williston, Florida passed away March 25th, 2010 from heart failure at Tacachale in Gainesville, Fl.
He was the beloved son of adopted parents, Cal and Laura Byrd of Williston and birth mother, Paula Nelson of Ocala. He is survived by his brothers, Rusty, Ronnie and Stephen Byrd; sisters, Jennifer Jones (Bill Jones, Jr) and Madison Nelson; Grandparents, Bob and Helen Cook, grandmother, Oneida Douglas Huddleston and grandmother, Juanita Heckert as well as three nieces, Mackenzie Goode, Leigha Byrd and Tierney Jones.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 29th, 2010 at 5pm at the Bronson Church of God. A funeral service will be held at the Tacachale Chapel on Wednesday, March 31st, 2010 at 1:30pm. (viewing at 1:00 pm) for the residents and employees of Tacachale.
The family wishes to thank the friends and staff at Tacachale for their love, care and support. The family also requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tacachale, 1621 NE Waldo Road, Gainesville, FL 32609.

I have Known Micheal for a long time. I am sorry to hear he passed away. He was a very determined man.I know that if there was something he wanted to get he would go after it. I watched him ride his bicycle round campus all the time. That was one of his favorite things to do. He was always at the dances that they had for the residents. It will be sad not to see him there. My heart goes out to you. MY thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Mr and Mrs. Bryd,
I was so sorry to hear of Michaels passing, I have missed visiting him recently, and it pains me so. I will miss my friend, he was always so determined what he wanted , did'nt let anything stop him from trying to be independant. I worked with him for a number of years and always tried to be there for him as his care provider and most importantly as his friend. He would call me alot and if he missed me he left the usual message, that I will not get any more "Hey its me , Call me".
He always made an impact on all that worked and knew him. I will miss him always . Your family is in my prayers, I will always have happy memories of Michael. God Bless You.
