ROBERT MACKNACK Obituary

MACKNACK, ROBERT L.
Crystal River - Robert L. Macknack, age 76 of Crystal River, FL passed away on November 26 while under the care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Lecanto. Bob was born on October 7, 1940 in Bartow, FL, to John S. & Marie P.
Macknack. Robert attended Ocala High School where he played football and made lifelong friends with many
classmates. After graduating high school, Robert attended the University of Florida before joining the United States Army. After leaving active service in the Army, Robert went into the banking field in Brevard County, FL for 20 years, moved to Citrus County, FL and was in banking for three more years before retiring.
Robert married his high school sweetheart Mary Crane, also of Ocala, FL and had two daughters that they raised in Melbourne, FL. Robert was a member of the Loyal Order of Elks for 37 years, a Kiwanis member for several years. He was an avid Florida Gator fan, he loved watching college football and all UF sports. In his spare time he loved to fish and go boating, reading and gardening in his beautiful yard.
When Robert retired from banking, he and his wife Mary, had a Badcock Furniture store in Inverness, FL for 20
years, along with Acorn Self Storage. Robert is preceded in death by both his parents, his only brother Ronald Macknack and his sister-in-law Monda Macknack. Left to mourn Robert is his wife of 55 years, Mary C. Macknack; his oldest daughter LuAnne (Bill) Batts of Melbourne, FL; his youngest daughter Leslie (Dale) Garrison of Inverness, FL; grandchildren Tayloe Batts,Jordon Batts, Judy (Skyler) Parker, Alivia Garrison, great-
granddaughter Raelyn Parker; his only niece Jennifer (Roy) Sands of Ocala. And many more nephews and nieces, All of the friends that Robert has made throughout his accomplished life.
Funeral Services for Robert Will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Roberts Funeral Homes Downtown Chapel. The family will receive friends starting at noon. In lieu of flowers, donation to Hospice of Citrus County would be appreciated. Arrangements are under the care of Roberts Funeral Home, 606 SW 2nd Ave, Ocala, FL 34471, (352)622-4141.
