ROBERT GEORGE
Ocala - Dr. Robert George Panzer, 77, passed away September 12, 2020 peacefully at home. He was born May 28, 1943, in Malverne, New York, to Otto Panzer and Gertrude King Panzer. He graduated from Kirksville College with a Doctorate in Osteopathic medicine and started a practice in Fort McCoy around 1972.
He was known to many as Dr. Bob, and for the last twenty years has been a founder and part of Ocala Family Medical Center. The dedication, care, and kindness that Dr. Panzer lived his life with is unmatched; as his patients were like family to him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Kim Panzer; sons, Todd Panzer (Lisa), Tyler Lindsey (Lauren), Jamison Panzer; ten beautiful grandchildren and a host of many other friends, family members, colleagues and patients all whom will miss him dearly.
Memorial service will be 5:00 p.m., Thursday September 24, 2020, at Meadowbrook Church, Ocala, FL with Pastor Tim Gilligan. Arrangements are under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL. In lieu of flowers, we ask you to be light in someone else's life. Helping another; that would be the greatest honor to his memory.

Dr Panzer was my deceased husband and my Dr. for over 30 years. He wasn’t just my Dr but someone I could t as ok to and my friend. Last time I saw him I told him I loved Him!! He said, I love you too. If you need anything call me. Truly missed only saving grace is Tyler his son is now caring for my health!! He’s just like Dr. Panzer Excelkent

Dr. Panzer was my PCP since moving to Ocala 20 years ago. He was a good doctor and a good man. He took very good care of me and my family since he was in the Colors Plaza. Rest in Peace Doc. I will miss seeing you.

Dr. Panzer was not only my primary care physician for 38 years but also a personal friend who always had time to reflect on what was going on in our lives. Dr. Bob will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Dr. Panzer was not only a friend but also a mentor. Much of my successful career with the FOMA was because of his guidance and mentoring. We met Dr.Bob Panzer back in 1994,when he was in the Colors Center,and have long ago moved from patients to friends. Bill,and Bob were born 6 days apart,both in up state New York. We enjoyed many of the same hobbies,and always looked forward to our visits. No words will ever convey the loss of this wonderful,humane man,and Doctor. We offer our prayers for this beloved friend. Since 1987 Dr. Panzer has always been ready to lead and advise me. Medically I am walking and alive because he not only doctored me but let me know he was concerned for my well being. He brought me through so much that you would not expect an ordinary doctor to do. Point is, Dr. Panzer was not ordinary he was a caring professional who was always ready to do the best for you. He will be missed so much. Prayers for Kim and the family as I have been there, and Bob reminded me then the power of God is there, use it.
