RUTH SLONE Obituary
Ocala - Thelma Ruth Slone, 87, of Ocala, FL died April 16, 2013. She was born April 2, 1926 in Mansfield, MO to Monroe and Lela (Frazier) Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donnie E. Slone, Sr. and three brothers, J. Harold Davis, Lowell M. Davis and H. B. "Pete" Davis.
She is survived by her sons, James M. Slone and his wife Marianna and Dr. Donnie E. Slone, Jr. and his wife Rhonda; sister Helen C. Kirby and her husband Eugene B. Kirby; five grandchildren, Dr. Cheryl M. Moses and her husband Dr. Dusty A. Moses, Dr. Marcia C. Mecca and her husband Dr. Adam P. Mecca, James M. Slone, Jr. and his wife Jaime H. Slone, Matthew T. Slone, Daniel G. Slone and his wife Allison L. Slone; and seven great grandchildren, Braylen M. Moses, Erin B. Moses, Lily M. Mecca, James M. Slone III, Jake R. Slone, Jolie R. Slone and Elsie R. Slone.
Funeral service will be Saturday, April 20 at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Ocala with Dr. Raymond Guterman, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment to follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, Ocala, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
