Ocala - Ruth Irene "Nana" Tubbert, 87, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. She was born in Syracuse, New York and moved to Ocala, FL. in 1986 from Liverpool, N.Y. where she was a secretary for over (25) years in the Liverpool Public School System. She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross Blood Bank for may years and was Methodist by faith. She loved reading, bowling, playing cards, dancing, singing and harness racing. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Bonaccorso of Ocala, FL; her son, John D. and wife Toni Tubbert, Jr. of Syracuse, N.Y.; her brother, James and wife Evelyn Broadwell of Liverpool, N.Y.; her brother-in-law, Robert and wife Betty Tubbert of Bridgeport, N.Y.; her (2) sister-in-laws, Evelyn Broadwell of Stuart, FL. and Dorothy Broadwell of Ithaca, N.Y.; her (8) grandchildren, Lisa Newton, Alex and Margot DeFio, Wendy and Scott Swingle, Lori Bonaccorso, Tom Gross and Austin Roell; her (11) great-grandchildren, Brooke and Blake Newton, Skylar DeSpain, Sahara Roell, Brandi, Brianna and Alexis DeFio, Sylas and Willow Swingle and Giselle Virelles; also several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of (67) years, John D. Tubbert, Sr.; her parents, Horace and Emma Broadwell as well as her (2) brothers, Herbert and Roy Broadwell. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2008 at Florida National cemetery, Bushnell, FL. The family will receive friends just prior to service time. ROBERTS FUNERAL HOMES, BRUCE CHAPEL WEST, 6241 SW State Road 200, Ocala, Florida 34476, is in charge of arrangements.
