Heaven has been "enhanced" 10 fold by my brother Steve. We shared lawn duty as children until I drove the mower into his fish pond, with 4 years between us we both ended up having 2 sons. We spoke weeks before his death; I was blessed to have a Gem of a guy as a brother, he was a loving father and a man of character to know. He will be missed long beyond our hearts can grieve. Listen closely, thats an Angel laughing...

My Uncle Steve holds so many happy memories in my heart as a child. I remember him as such a fun, loving man. He told joke after joke and always made me laugh. Isn't that what life is about? He made so many of us just simply laugh. He helped make my childhoold happy. If only I had the chance to know him more as an adult. For that, I am deeply saddened. I LOVE Uncle Steve and I am sooooo deeply heartbroken for this loss. Please know that my prayers are with all of his family. May God bless you ALL and give you peace in your hearts.

I will always remember Steve as kind and generous and positive and fun. As a new Allstate Agent 20 years ago, Steve was my favorite mentor. He was the best of the best. Marcia, I am so very sorry to hear that you have lost Steve. It seems like not that long ago, you and Steve attended a Bogie class reunion. Our connection being brought on thru my sister, Susan Horn, an Allstate adjuster who worked with Steve. Susan found out that Steve had been a classmate of mine at Boca Ciega High School. I also had worked for Allstate as an Underwriter from '68-'81. I saw Steve's name on apps but never realized this man from Ocala was the same guy I went to school with. Now, we won't be seeing him at the class's 60th Birthday party we are planning. We will miss him. My heart goes out to you, Marcia. I pray that Steve finds his peace.

March 24, 2009

Dear Marcia, Mark, Phil and family members,

Bob and I have lost a friend. Steve's humorous quick wit will always stay with us. He always had us rolling in laughter and this is what we will always remember. One had to listen closely to keep up with him.

He was one of the most upstanding "citizens" and his family should always remain proud of the person he was. We should all try to live by the standards that he set to live his life. He was so proud of each of you and there are no words to express the joy that his grandchildren brought to him. He loved all of you and expressed it often.

We miss Steve and we are keeping each of you in our prayers.

To Steve's family,
Please accept my sympathy for your loss. Steve was a super guy that I knew on a couple of different levels. First, he was my parents Allstate agent for many years. He was very kind to my mother. I lost her less than 3 months ago. I also knew Steve thru my banking profession and learned what a Trekkie he was! It was really nice to find another Star Trek geek! To see his service has a title of "Live Long and Proper" is very fitting. I remember his smile and his kindness. Again, I am very sorry for your loss. I know it is a hole in your heart that will never heal.
