Vonetta Eilbacher Obituary

EILBACHER,
VONETTA WALIGA, 89
Tallahassee - Vonetta Waliga Eilbacher, 89, of Tallahassee, Florida; passed away April 14, 2016 in Tallahassee. Born in Odum, Georgia; she was the daughter of the late Ledford Collins and Jonnie Hightower.
Vonetta is survived by her daughter, Deborah V. Barry, of Tallahassee; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her special friend, companion, and dance partner, Don Koelbel of Summerfield, Florida.
She was a Customer Service Supervisor with Orlando Utilities.
Vonetta was loved and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her daughter, Debbie, referred to her as 'A Great Mom.' Another family member wrote, 'I remember her beauty inside and out, her love of dance, love of family and love of her daughter, Debbie.' Vonetta did love to dance....so much so that she was a cast member of the 'Ice Capades' in Miami. Vonetta once said 'ballroom dancing was the best years of my life.' Not only did she love to dance, Vonetta also enjoyed sports; particularly bowling, softball, and tennis. In her golden years, she modeled for an Ocala dress boutique. It was often said of her that she was loving, kind, beautiful, glamorous, and could do anything.
A visitation and celebration of life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home located at 700 Timberlane Road in Tallahassee. Burial will follow at MeadowWood Memorial Park. The service will be casual in nature and the family suggest casual attire. Hi Mom, it's been 3 years since you went to heaven. I think of you and miss you every day. If we could turn back time, wouldn't that be great? So wish we could. I love you so so so much & always will forever. You have a beautiful grave site under oak trees, in the shade. My grave site is right next to yours, so one day I'll join you up there & we'll go dancing! RIP Mom & thank you for being my Guardian Angel. xoxoxo Hugs, kisses & love to you and all the family!!

Debbie your mother is not loss she has been found and happier everyday. You were the best daughter a mom could ever have. You had a very special bond and your love for each other was very evident. You, my dear did everything right. Vonetta is in the loving arms of God on her way to her next journey of being found. Love you Debbie.

Dear Vonetta, I will never forget those happy years we spent together as companions and dance partners. They truly were the happiest years of my life. I thank God for sending you to me. I cherish the memories of our regular Sundays in church - especially the Sunday we walked down the isle, hand-in-hand, to publicly accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. This gives me comfort knowing you are safely home in Heaven forever. We will dance again. Love, Don

I did not personally know of Vonetta, but I was blessed to be able to see her through Facebook and her daughter Debbie. She was obviously a kind, loving, friendly, gracious lady. Her presence will be missed by many especially Debbie. The love and respect they shared for one another was amazing. May she rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the friends and family who will have a void in their life without her.

It is a great heartfelt obit, Debbie. Your mom would approve. Vonetta was such a sweet person. She loved children, and enjoyed my grandchildren when we visited her. She always sang along to the Christmas Carols with the kids! I know you'll miss her every day. My prayers are for your comfort in this time of grief. Love you!

Mom ... I miss you so much! And I know you're my Guardian Angel up in heaven. I'm sure you danced your way to Heaven; and, most likely, are already teaching dance lessons! I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck! (we always said that to each other). I love you to the moon and back. What a wonderful, loving, awesome woman and mother you were. Thank you so much for all your love, tenderness, understanding, kindness ...I could go on and on. I love you soooo very much.
