Wanda Ferrell Obituary
Dunnellon - Wanda F. Ferrell, 97, Dunnellon, died October 9, 2007 at her residence under the loving care of family and Hospice of Marion County. A native of Brooklyn, NY, she relocated to Dunnellon in 1984. She was a Naval Architect and a Teacher at Brooklyn Tech. She designed the electrical systems for the battleship USS Missouri, where the surrender agreement was signed ending WWII and she worked on the design of John Kennedy's PT109. Survivors include cousins Valerie O'Brien and her husband Terence and Margaret (Marie) O'Brien of Dunnellon, Eleanor McMahon of New Jersey, Andrew Selowentchich of Staten Island, NY and Jomar Diaz of California. Visitation will be October 11, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Funeral Services at 2:45 p.m. at Fero Funeral Home, Dunnellon. Entombment will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Beverly Hills, FL. Arrangements by Fero Funeral Home, Dunnellon.
