William Rower Obituary

ROWER, WILLIAM HAROLD
William Harold Rower, 84, died 4/07/09 in Sun City Center, Florida.
Bill was born February 7, 1925 to Harold and Louise Rower of Kalida, Ohio. He served in Patton's Third Army in World War II. He married Mary Louise Glaser of Zanesville, Ohio, in 1949.
After graduating from The Ohio State University School of Medicine, he began family practice in Ashland, Ohio. He practiced there for 15 years until he moved to Atlantis, Florida where he practiced until he retired.
During his retirement, Bill and Mary Lou enjoyed golf and tennis at their homes in Sky Valley, Georgia and Sarasota, Florida before moving to Sun City Center, Florida.
Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years, Mary Lou of Sun City Center and 4 children: Beth Ellis of Sarasota, Ken (Linda Taylor) of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Kathy (David) Van Vleet of Ocala, Florida and Debbie Beatty of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He is survived by 7 grandchildren: Megan Ellis, Katy Ellis, Kristi Van Vleet, Kyle Van Vleet, Amy Van Vleet, Jennifer Beatty and Allyson Beatty.
He is also survived by his sister Helen Louise Tracy of Gilbert, Arizona and several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Sun City Center United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 on April 26, 2009, at Sun City Center United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the hand bell fund at the church, to Hospice or to the charity of your choice.
