Clarence Schaut

Peshtigo - Clarence Leonard Schaut, 82, of Town of Grover, passed away, March 11, 2018 at Rennes Health Center East. Born July 31, 1935, eldest child of the late Leonard and Edverdina (Behnke) Schaut, he served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957 of which 16 months were served in Korea. August 1, 1959 he married the former June Behnke at St. John's Lutheran Church. Clarence worked at the Bond Pickle Factory as a forklift driver until his retirement.

He enjoyed working on his hobby farm, hunting, fishing, polka dancing on Sundays at Equity Park, coffee clutching with the guys every morning, and spending time with his little buddy John.

Clarence is survived by, his wife of 58 years, June; 2 sons, Dennis (fiancé Julie) Schaut, and Jeff (Lisa) Schaut; a daughter, Renee (Randy) Vande Hei;

Grandchildren, Bryant (Ashley) Schaut; Lauren (fiancé Dave) Schaut; Ashley Schaut; Bryan (special friend Amanda) Schaut; John Schaut; Abby (special friend Tim) Schaut; Kyle (Kristin) Vande Hei; Chelsea (special friend Jesse) Vand Hei; and Rachel (special friend Kyle) Vande Hei;

Great-grandchildren, Aiden Schaut and Landon Vande Hei.

Clarence is also survived by his siblings, 2 sisters, Darlene (Russ) Marquardt, Betty (Donald) Marquardt, and 1 brother, Lenny (Bonita) Schaut.

Along with his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by, a brother, Gerald.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 17, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Grover from 9:00 am until time of services at 11:00 am with Pastor Luke Myslik officiating. Military rites will follow at the church, with burial at St. John's Cemetery. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is assisting the family.
