James Charniak Obituary
Oconto -
James Anthony Charniak, 46, Oconto, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Bellin Hospital, Oconto, after a hard fought battle with testicular cancer. Jim was born June 29, 1971 in Green Bay to James and Peggy (Burkel) Charniak. He married Christine Jenkins on November 5, 1994. Always a dedicated, loyal and hard working employee, he worked for Richco Structures, Fed Ex Ground, LeTourneau Plastics, and most recently Birdseye Dairy. Jim enjoyed softball, weight lifting, and was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. He truly loved spending time with family and friends, book sales with Karissa, Tae Kwon Do with Kyle, playing cards with the guys, (Andy, Jesse, Jeff, John and Dave), and golfing with Jason. Jim was an excellent cookie baker, master griller, and truly enjoyed a great steak, cherry cheesecake and popcorn. Jim had an upbeat and positive attitude, giving words of encouragement and advice, and could always put a smile on your face. Jim always gave everything his all and will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by everyone who knew him.
Jim is survived by his wife, Christine Charniak, Oconto; two children, Karissa and Kyle Charniak, Oconto; father, James (Dorothy) Charniak, Green Bay; two brothers, Christopher (Kim) Charniak, Green Bay; Jason (Kimberly) Charniak, Pittsfield; father and mother-in-law, James and Jeanette Jenkins, Oconto; brother-in-law, Jonathon (Laura) Jenkins, AZ; nieces and nephews, Logan, Rebecca, Billy, Alex and Allison, Michael David and Emily. He was preceded in death by his mother Peggy Charniak.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 11 AM to 2 PM Saturday, April 28, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home by Kimberly Charniak. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
