25. October 2020.
My dear Carol, I learned only today (Internet) of the passing of your beloved Mom. I remember her and your late dad so well. I remember their visits to Mount Mercy College when we were students there. I remember the kindness shown me by your Mom when I spent a Thanksgiving holiday at your home in Oelwein. She was such a gracious and kind hostess.
I wish to express my deepest sympathy to you and your family, your sister Charlene and hers, your brother Mike and his.
Her presence will live on our memory. May she rest in peace.
Le souvenir, c'est la presence invisible.

I am sending my sympathy to the three Tallman children after learning about their mother's death.
I worked with Julie on 4th Floor at Mercy hospital as a newly trained 16 year old nurse's aide and she taught me so much.
I loved our mutual St. Lucas, Iowa connection as she and my mother were only a couple years apart in age growing up.
Take care.

My sincere condolences to Julie's family. Julie was a very good friend to my Mom and I will always remember Julie for that (some of their stories from nursing together at Mercy in Oelwein!!). Another memory of Julie is that my first car was purchased from Julie-- 1970 green Pinto!! May all your memories keep her always close to heart.

I remember Julia while 'candystripping' for the Red Cross at Mercy Hospitals in the late 70's. She was so nice, and always seemed to be working whenever I volunteered to help on 3rd or 4th floors. May Her family feel blessed that Julia had such a long life, and keep her in their thoughts, hearts & prayers as so many people from Oelwein will.

What a wonderful nurse and mentor to so many. She truly took me under her wing the year I worked on her 2nd shift team at Mercy. We all loved working with her and she became a wonderful friend. God bless you kid. You are relieved of your duties on this earth and are needed in heaven now. My sympathy to your family.
