Frieda Leona Morrison

FRIEDA LEONA MORRISON Frieda Leona Morrison, age 91, of Twining, MI., passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 10, 1934, in Denver, CO., to the late Edger and Sarah (Melrose) Osborne. Frieda was raised in Michigan, where she attended West Branch Area Schools. She married the love of her life, Clyde Morrison, in 1953, and they had four children together, raising them in the Twining area. Frieda worked for the Arenac School system as a school cook. Around her home, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, canning, and baking. She also liked gardening and tending her flower beds. She was also an avid bowler and traveled the states competing in bowling tournaments. More than anything else, she loved spending time with her family. Frieda is survived by her children, Butch (Mary) Morrison, Suzie (Art) Rivard, Rick (Sue) Morrison, and Chery Morrison; grandchildren, Kristie (Luis) Mendoza, Vickie McGillis, Andy (Sarah) Rivard, Aaron Rivard, Kay (Eric) Young, Derrick (Alyssa) Morrison, Lyndsay (Justin) Dalke; 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Frieda is preceded by her parents, husband Clyde (2025), brothers, Percy (Genice) Osborne, and Ed (Charlotte) Osborne. Family will host services for Frieda at the Buresh Funeral Home in Twining. Visitation on Friday, November 21, 2025, 4:00 pm 8:00 pm. Funeral on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 12:00 pm with visitation starting at 10:00 pm. Interment at Cedar Valley Cemetery. Rick Rockwell will be officiating.
