LANARK – Charles "Buckwheat" Strohecker, 66, of Lanark, IL, passed away on January 2, 2021 in Stockton, IL.
He was born on March 22, 1954 in Freeport, IL to Richard and Mae (Turney) Strohecker. He married Arleen Kingery (Rife) on March 29, 19080 in Lanark, IL. He was a CNC operator for 35 years and City of Lanark employee.
Survivors include his daughter, Donna Quinn (Strohecker) married to Kenneth Quinn of Lena, IL; daughter, Nicole Kingery (Strohecker) married to Jeremy Kingery of Shannon, IL; brother: Ron Strohecker, married to Ann Strohecker of Lanark, IL; daughter-in-law: Brittney (Ils) Strohecker of Pearl City, IL; sister-in-law, Sheryl Strohecker of Lanark, IL; sister-in-law, Sara White Martin of Mt. Morris, IL; many nieces and nephews; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Strohecker; mother, Mae Strohecker; 2 brothers, Mike Strohecker and Dan Strohecker; son, Ben Strohecker, and grandson, CasenStrohecker.
A memorial tractor pull with the River Bend Pullers and hosted by Kenny and Ardena Grant will be held in the spring.
