Aaron T. "Andy" Allgood

Aaron T. Allgood (Andy) was born September 28, 1920 and passed away after a long illness on May 12, 2010 at the age of 89, while in the loving care of Hospice and his niece Terri Wilhelm.

Andy resided at Emeritus of Stow for the past 18 months and lived previously in the Portage Lakes area.

Andy was preceded in death by his wife, Saragene; step-son, Edward Lowery; brother, Howard Allgood and sister, Myrtis Miller. He is survived by step-daughter, Judy Haines of Clearwater, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Pat Lowery of Charlotte, N.C.; sister-in-law, Katie Allgood of Tallmadge, Ohio; grandchildren, David Lowery of Charlotte, N.C.; Nancy Bostock and Jennifer Nelis of Fla.; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Andy is also survived by special friends, Robin and Paul DeVaughn.

Andy Allgood retired from B.F. Goodrich in 1979 with nearly 35 years of service and was Secretary of Local 5 for 7 years. He also served his country in the Navy during World War II and in the Navy Reserves for several years.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. TODAY Saturday, May 15, 2010 at East Liberty Cemetery, E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd, Green, Ohio. The family requests memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron OH 44333 or to Alzheimer's Association, Greater East Ohio Area Chapter, 1815 W.
