Adam Kahooilihala Obituary
Adam Jeffrey Kahooilihala passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015.
He was born in Cuyahoga Falls and resided in Stow. Adam was a senior at Cuyahoga Falls High School and had planned to study chemistry, or art, or some other thing he would have inevitably obsessed and labored over and worried about, eventually mastered, only to dismiss his achievement and move on to the next obsession in the pursuit of a career as a pharmacist, or a teacher, or an artist, or an anesthesiologist, or a musician, or the president. Probably all of those.
Adam was the happiest and the saddest, funniest and most serious, lackadaisical and perfectionist individual, and he will be deeply missed by his friends, who he loved very much.
Adam leaves his mother, Shelah Shelton (Ugo Gallo); father, Jeffrey Kahooilihala (Leisa Jaye); sister, Audrey Kahooilihala; brother, Evan Bourque; grandmother, Cathy Rowan; grandfather, Donald Kahooilihala; and close friends, Joseph Bourque and Teresa Kiplinger.
Calling hours 3 to 7 Thursday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 2121 6th Street in Cuyahoga Falls. Funeral services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted via gofundme.com/n1p5bw.

Its going to be 5 years without you in a couple of days and I wanted to update you as to what’s happened since last year.
Gus Fring is back on Better Call Saul!
The Cleveland Browns had a pretty decent team this year while my Steelers tanked. You missed an on field football brawl when Myles Garret who plays for the Browns ripped off the helmut of the Pittsburgh Steelers QB Mason Rudolph - and then clocked him in the head with his own helmet!!
Audrey is kicking butt in college and will be an RN soon! You wouldn't be able to say, “you're so stupid Audrey” to her these days. :)
Your dad well, he is still a lovable pain in my butt and he misses you so much.
Me well, I did one round of chemo for MS last year and I do another round this coming June so I’m fighting back and hanging in there.
We will look for your blooms throughout the year and your presence at the feeders.

The plant we got for you Blooms every year on your birthday (we know
thats you coming to say, hi!) and your dads painted flower pot still
holds that plant in it.
I also planted a tree in the backyard two
years ago. That tree represents you and my mom in the Celtic realm and
it will sustain life for many native species - caterpillars,
butterflies, birds and its doing great - probably because your spirit is
there with it.

Adam was a very good, kind-hearted friend who always brought laughter to many faces. There are too many memories to remember with Adam, but we for sure knew how to be happy and have a good time. He was also a very talented artist and i would always be amazed as he would show and explain my his drawings. I am very glad to have had the chance to meet Adam because he always brought joy to me whenever we were hanging out, there was never a dull moment with him. Adam also worked at Acme with me and whenever I was bored I would find Adam and we would just walk around and talk until our boss yelled at us. Work will never be the same without him now, neither will school, I will miss my close friend for a very long time and I pray to God that I see him when my time is up. Love you Adam!

Jeff, I don't have the words to express my sadness over your loss. Although I was around Adam only a handful of times, I feel I got to know him through the way you talked so proudly about your son. After several days, I still can't believe that this has happened. I only knew Adam for a few years but those few years meant more to me then he will ever know. I remember visiting him in the hospital and he was so positive and hopeful through it all. it breaks my heart that I'll never get to see his beautiful smile again.
