Barry McBurney Obituary
Barry McBurney, of Doylestown, passed away on November 14, 2016. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on December 11, 1944.
Barry loved remodeling, building, puzzles and reading books. He retired from the University of Akron after 30 plus years of service. Barry was a loving grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda. He is survived by his children, Amber (Steve Shiltz) Cunningham, and James (Kristy) Haag; grandchildren, David, Savannah, Brooklynn, Mitchell and Kesten; siblings, Sandy McBurney McGee, Brenda Johnson and Donald McBurney; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 10 to 12 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305. Rev. George Shiltz officiating.

Barry was a pleasure to be around. He always had nothing but nice things to say and a smile on his face. Our morning chats in the break room were the best. Never seen Barry without a mellow yellow in his hand. His family is in my thoughts and prayers.
