He was born Feb. 24, 1950, in Wadsworth, to Elden W. and Marjorie (Cleck-ner) But-zer. He was a member of Doylestown United Methodist Church, and a 1968 graduate of Chippewa High School. He was also a graduate of the University of Akron, receiving degrees in electrical engineering and computer science, and was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He was the owner of FutureSoft and formerly worked for Diebold. He enjoyed computers and drag racing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elden W. Butzer and is survived by mother, Marjorie Butzer of Doylestown; his beloved family, Pamela Partch and her children, Brittany and Meghan.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown, with Rev. James H. Humphrey officiating. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
