Carol Lee (Rollyson) Benedum

Carol Lee (Rollyson) Benedum, 71, formerly of Tallmadge and Akron, passed away peacefully March 30, 2014 at home in Willcox, Arizona, after a battle with cancer.

She was born May 29, 1942 to the late Robert and Betty (Guggenheim) Rollyson of Tallmadge. Carol married the love of her life, George W. Benedum, on March 1, 1958. Together, they moved their young family from their home in Akron to fulfill George's life-long dream of starting his own business, Benedum Engine Repair, in Willcox, Arizona.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, George, who died January 5, 1998; infant daughter, Candi; grandson, Nicholas; and sister, Lois.

Carol was deeply loved, and will be deeply missed by her family. She leaves two sons, George (Julie) Benedum and John Benedum; two daughters, Cathy (Carey) Dougherty and Christine Benedum; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers, Robert (Coni) Rollyson and Richard (Grace) Rollyson; two sisters, her best friends and tender-hearted caregivers, Jean Kirkbaumer and Glenna Hayes; many nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held at the Community Baptist Church of Tallmadge. Cremation arrangements made by Westlawn Chapel & Mortuary in Willcox, Arizona.
