Charles Freeman Obituary

NORTON -- Charles Freeman, 68, of Norton, passed away Friday, December 23, 2011. He was born on September 12, 1943 in Fayette, Alabama to the late Buron and Mertia Freeman.

Mr. Freeman was retired from Midwest Rubber after 20 years of service. In his leisure time he loved to hunt, fish, spend time with his grandchildren and sit around the bonfire with his family.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Dick in 2004 and four brothers. Charles is survived by his wife, Esther with whom he had been with for 27 years; one daughter, Regina (Frank) Weaver; son-in-law, Kurt Dick; and four grandchildren, Zachary, Megan and Jared Dick and Hailey Weaver; there are five sisters, Naomi Hargett of Alabama, Billie (Henry) Chris, Mary Mackhammer, Dorothy (Jake) Adams, and Barbara (John) Regallis all of Akron; and numerous nieces and nephews also surviving.

The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with Larry Keener officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
