Born in Pikeville Kentucky, Charlie's family moved to Ohio in 1953 and lived in Kenmore. He graduated from Kenmore High School in 1963.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Bitha Stewart, and daughter, Stacy Quinlan; Charlie is survived by Lisa, his loving and very tolerant wife of 38 years; Charlie is also survived by sister, Ada (Joe) Dietz and brothers Farley (Brenda) and Earnie; children, Chris (Mindy), Stephen, Brandon; and nephew, David Dalton; daughters, Michele (Jeff) Weller, Heather (John) Custer; grandchildren, Chris, Jr., Cameron, Tiffany Slider, Staci Lyn, Kira and Jamie Lyn Quinlan, Landon Custer ("Little Charlie"); great-grandson, Robby Stewart; niece, Dana (Daryl) Harmon; nephews, Darren and Derek; great nephews, Seth and Clayton.
Charlie was a very proud and skilled craftsman in the drywall business for 44 years and was known to be the best. He trained many along the way, including his sons Chris and Stephen. Charlie was meticulous in everything he did; half way was not an option. Charlie also had an incredible mechanical ability, and if he had charged for his mechanical advice, he would have been rich. Although Charlie did not fit the mold, he was a member of the Misfit Motorcycle Club for three years and was president for a short time. Charlie loved boating and fishing at Piedmont Lake and shooting the breeze with friends. He had a gift to create laughter. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
