Dale Kortze Obituary
Dale E. Kortze, Sr. 87, went home to be with the Lord on November 27, 2015. He was born on December 17, 1927 in Akron (Kenmore), Ohio.
He was a veteran in the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1946 to 1948. Dale retired from Goodyear Aerospace in 1989. He was a lifelong member of Allenside Presbyterian Church. He was also an avid golfer and bowler.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, August and Elizabeth Kortze; one brother, Donald V. Kortze; and one sister, Alberta Ludick. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sarah (nee Brumbaugh) Kortze; sons, Dale E. (Margaret) Kortze Jr. of Pennsylvania, Donald E. (Joyce) Kortze of Illinois; and Steven A. Kortze of Virginia; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, with one on the way; sister, Elizabeth Kleiza; and a host of friends.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 10 to 12 p.m. with the service immediately following at Allenside Presbyterian Church, 410 Rexford St., Akron, Ohio 44314.
