Daniel Gurley Obituary
Daniel E. Gurley "Kat," 78, passed away Jan. 28, 2003 at Hospice Care Center.
Born Feb. 12, 1924 in Huntsville, Ala., after serving in World War II, he became a perma nent resident of Akron, Ohio. Kat worked for B.F. Goodrich for over 41 years, he was a former member of VFW and American Le gion.
He is sur vived by his dedicated wife of 40 years, Ruby; children, Daniel Jr., Donna Jen nings, LaDawn (John) Prosser; very special stepson, Alvin Lee; four grandchildren; six step-grandchil dren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Chapel, Rev. George Goodman officiating. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 354 Trigonia Dr.
