David Yeager Obituary

David "Dave" Scott Yeager, age 60, of North Tonawanda, NY passed away suddenly, April 30, 2021, while visiting family in Silver Lake, Ohio. Dave was born May 7, 1960 to Margaret "Peg" and the late David L. Yeager. Dave will be dearly missed by wife, Lisa (nee Wadsworth); daughter, Alissa (Marc) Yeager; stepdaughters, Renee (Jason) Wentz, Elizabeth (William) Clark/Brand; sisters, Karen (Richard) Yeager-Stiver, Ellen Yeager; grandchildren, Marley, Miles, Kaylee, Morgan, Nathan, Matthew; and four-legged family, Madison, Peanut, Grant. Dave graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School (1978) and Miami University (Ohio) (1982). He retired from DuPont after a 20+ year career and started the second chapter of his professional life at Thermo-Fisher Scientific. Dave moved to Buffalo, NY, 30+ years ago and raised his family, but stayed close to his roots in Akron, Ohio. He will be missed by friends, including some he'd known since elementary school. He loved the Great Lakes, fishing, snorkeling, and boating. He appreciated his evenings with Lisa, enjoying the talents of local Blues artists. Finding NPR early on in his life, he became an avid listener and patron. In his downtime, Dave was addicted to Sudoku at "Expert Level". Recently he found a passion with pistols and target shooting. A celebration of life will be planned soon. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local NPR station, NPR.Org, or favorite charity.
