Dennis Meadows Obituary

WADSWORTH -- Dennis Wade Meadows, 71, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 22, 2011 while surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on September 29, 1939 in Spencer, W. Va. to the late Oral and Maxine Meadows. Mr. Meadows retired from Chrysler in 1993. His favorite activity was working with children and the staff of Reimer Road Baptist Church. Only eternity will reveal the many lives he touched and the souls he influenced for Christ. He was a faithful member of Reimer Road Baptist Church and served as the Sunday School Superintendent, a deacon, a choir member, working with the bus ministry and AWANA. The things he enjoyed most of all were reading his Bible and being with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald and brother-in-law, Bruce Remmy. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sharon; son, Mark (Gail) Meadows; daughter, Vanette (Lewis) Kreider; grandchildren, Marissa and Josiah Meadows and Hannah and Nathan Kreider, his sisters, Sue (Jack) Hulgin, Janet Remmy; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Meadows; 10 nieces and nephews and many additional family members and friends.

The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for their care and support and a special thanks to the late Dr. Robert Burns, Dr. Panzner, Dr. Kromalic, the Copley Medical Group nursing staff and Jacque, Melissa, Tom and Crystal.

The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, and one hour prior to service on Saturday at the church. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday at Reimer Road Baptist Church, 1055 Reimer Rd., Wadsworth, with Pastor Jim Newton officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery at 1 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Autism Society of Akron, P.O. Box 2831, Akron, OH 44309. Hilliard-Rospert

Vanette ~
I am so sorry for the loss of your dear father and for the heartache you are feeling. You have been on my mind this week because I know that there isn't anything I can say that will take this heartache away and make it all better. I do know that God will bring you comfort now and in the days to come but also may all of your wonderful memories of him bring a smile to your face and help you not to miss him so much.

You and your family are in my prayers. I am so sorry for your loss...
