Donald Franks Obituary
Franks
Donald P. "Donnie" Franks, 76, of Randolph, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at his home.
Born Jan. 31, 1927, in Randolph, he was the son of the late William and Zola Mae (Busbay) Franks, and had lived in Randolph all of his life. Mr. Franks retired from Operating Engineers Local 18. He was a member of the Randolph Lions Club, had attended the Randolph United Methodist Church, and was also a member of the Randolph Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid hunter, and loved to debate any issue.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Evelyn "Boots" (McQuillen) Franks; sons, Kim (Cindy) Franks of Randolph, Don (JoAnn) Franks of Suffield; daughter, Terri Franks of Ran dolph; six grandchildren; broth ers, Ralph (Wilma) Franks of Atwater, Paul (Luella) Franks of Alliance; and a sister, Opal Hartman of Suffield. He was preceded in death by brothers, Chester and Charles, and a sister, Thelma.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at the Randolph United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Bob Amey. Inurnment will be at Hillside Cemetery, Randolph. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Robinson Memorial Hospice and Visiting Nurse, or to the Randolph United Methodist Church.
