Donna Gunnoe Obituary
Donna M. Gunnoe, 73, went home to be with the Lord on March 17, 2016.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John and Elaine Dietrich. Donna was a member of Victory Chapel for 16 years. She enjoyed collecting antiques, carousels and lighthouses. She also enjoyed painting ceramics. Donna was a strong Christian woman who shared the love of Lord with everyone that she met. She knew not a stranger. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Dorthea Switzer; and her great-granddaughter, Abigail. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 50 years, Kenneth; children, Richard (Jeannie) Gunnoe and Denise (Tom) Wiant; grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Walker, Joshua Wiant, Matthew (Sarah) Wiant, Tristan, Michael and Jessica Matta; great-grandson, Daniel; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. and funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 12 p.m. with calling hours beginning at 11 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305. Pastor Robert Webb officiating. Interment Hillside Cemetery in Randolph. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Summa. Donna was a beautiful woman with a beautiful smile and soul to match! She was a wonderful example of faith and love in action. The world is a much dimmer place without her in it, but I am certain she is shining ever so brightly in heaven.
God bless her family. You WILL surely be reunited with her in glory one day.
