DuWarn Larue Simpson

DuWarn Larue Simpson, 67, passed from this earthly life on January 26, 2021. He was a lifetime resident of the Akron Community and previously held several City of Akron careers, was a passionate Pee-Wee Football Coach and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Mae Simpson; his loving wife of 28 years, Donna Marie Chambers-Simpson; brother, Harold Simpson and father-in-law, Donald Chambers. He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Augustus Simpson; mother-in-law, Trella Chambers; brothers, Gerald Simpson, Kevin (Gwenn) Simpson; daughters, Donttia Chambers, Davielle Chambers, DeJa Simpson, Latoria (Eugene) Weems and Nina; sons, DuWarn Robinson, Duron (Rashida) Chambers and Delreese Simpson; future son-in-law, Marcus Rooks; 20 grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Homegoing service will be held Thursday, February 4, 2021, 12:00 p.m., at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, OH 44306, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
