Edward Bose Obituary
STOW -- Edward Bernard Bose Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, veteran, engineer, inventor, lay minister, coach, and patriarch passed away the morning of December 6, 2018. He was 89.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation TODAY 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial Monday, 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Fr. Kevin Klonowski celebrant. PLEASE MEET AND FORM PROCESSION AT THE CHURCH. Burial Silver Springs Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.

We are forever grateful for Edward's service to our country in the U.S. Submarine Service. To our Brother of the Phin we say, Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. May you rest in peace and may God bless your loved ones who remain. Thank you for your service to our country."

I have one consolation that lives with me today.
That God is near to them, in his own special way.
So God in all Your mercy, keep near Thyself the soul,
Of every Submariner, still on his final patrol.
Lord, this departed shipmate with Dolphins on his chest
is part of an outfit known as the best.
Make him welcome and take him by the hand.
You'll find without a doubt he was the best in all the land.
So, heavenly Father add his name to the roll
of our departed shipmates still on patrol.
Let them know that we who survive
will always keep their memories alive.

On behalf of the Charleston Base SUBVETS and Swamp Fox Chapter SUBVETS WWII, I offer you our sincere condolences on Edward's passing. We grieve with you on the death of your loved one and our shipmate. The SUBVETS will have your family in our thoughts and prayers. There is no expiration date on the back of our dolphins and Edward, who earned his 'fish' when he qualified on USS DIODON SS-349, will always be remembered as a Brother of the Phin and a great Patriot. We moved in next door to Ed and Nancy about 5 years ago. Both Ed and Nancy welcomed us into the neighborhood. Ed and I chatted over the fence many times. I heard s lot of Eds stories about his life and military services. Ed was a good guy. I'll miss the times we spent chatting over the fence.

I had the pleasure of taking care of Mr. Bose as a home care nurse a while back. I enjoyed our visits and the stories he would share. He was in such good hands with the loving care he received from his family. I smiled while reading his obituary because of all he accomplished in his 89 years! I know he remains in good hands now with the Lord. My sincere condolences to everyone who loved this remarkable man.
