Elsie Aston Obituary

Elsie Leona Aston

WADSWORTH -- Elsie Leona Aston, 90, of Wadsworth, passed away on August 4, 2015. Elsie was born on June 16, 1925 in Wadsworth to the late Albert and Bessie Hantzsche.

She lived her entire life in Wadsworth and shared 65 years of that life married to her beloved husband, Jack, who preceded her in death in 2008. Elsie's family and friends always came first and foremost in her life, but she was also active over the years in various service organizations including the Hospital Auxiliary and Meals On Wheels. Elsie worked with husband, Jack to build and operate their well respected local business, Wadsworth Refrigeration. She also enjoyed square dancing, sewing and crochet, golf and bowling and, after Jack's retirement, fishing and relaxing at their cottage. Elsie was a member of the Wadsworth United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband and parents; Elsie was preceded in death by brother, Leland Hantzsche; sisters, Marie (Jay) Olson and Margaret (Harold) Jacobs; and sister-in-law, Virginia (Emmett) Hutchinson. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Anthony Sonderman); son, William; sister, Mae (Dave Goodson); grandchildren, Sarah (Jason Harber) and Robert; and great-grandchildren, August, Gwenyth and Lucy.

Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 11 a.m., at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street, Wadsworth, Ohio. Pastor Don Ebert will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.

Dear Karen and Bill - I am sorry I was unable to be at your mom's memorial service. I have so many good memories of times spent at the lake. Your mom and dad were two great people.

Karen, Bill, and Tony,

My father, Jim Brogan and I just found out Elsie passed away 8/12/15, or we would have been at the memorial. Elsie and Jack were the best neighbors. Elsie was a sweet lady that will be missed. Please let Bill know we found out after her memorial, because we lost touch with Bill. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
