Eryc Ahmir Higgins, 18 of Akron, transitioned from this life on August 30, 2016.
He attended Akron Public Schools and Utica Community School in Michigan. He had a special love for his friends, family and especially for his three nephews. His passion was for music, good food, and a particular taste for sushi. He had a love for life, people and met no strangers, Eryc had a smile that would melt your heart.
Eryc is survived by his parents Angela (McCall) McNabb and Eric Higgins; sister whom he loved dearly, Alysen McNabb; grandparents Willie and Barbara McCall and Melodie Higgins;
step parents, Larry
(Erica) McNabb; great-grandmother, Gertrude Larkins; uncles including Kevin McCall; aunt, Natasha Higgins; nephews, who were the apple of his eye, Ayden,
Rodney and Austyn; godmother Angela Langston and a host of family and friends.
Service will be held Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH 44307, Pastor Benjamin Drone officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 noon until time of service. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1534 Frederick Blvd.

Me and Eric were good friends then we stopped being so close when he moved away but he meant so much to all of us mostly because he was a good friend always specially remembering the time me and him were riding bikes together on our way home and we were cracking jokes and we started laughing so hard we nearly fell of our bikes, what's important about that is I still remember his face laughing and see to see him gone like this it hurts deep inside... He is in a better place now atleast, that's something he would of said.
