Evelyn Thorne Obituary
CUYAHOGA FALLS - Evelyn Arp Thorne passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2015. She was born in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Hugo and Pearl (Henne-berger) Arp. She lived there until she married Kenneth C. Thorne and moved with him as he worked his entire adult life for Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. They spent the majority of their lives in Cuyahoga Falls. They raised their family of three sons at 2548 16th Street, where Evelyn lived for many years until several years ago when she moved to Sunrise of Cuyahoga Falls. She was a wonderful wife and a very loving mother. She is survived by her three sons, Peter (Elaine), James (Mary) and Michael (Tracy). She was blessed with eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A memorial service is being planned by the family and the arrangements will be announced shortly. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in her name to The First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls or the Alzheimer's Association.
