DOYLESTOWN On September 11th, Frances Root passed away at Hospice Care Center with her loving family at her side.
Frances will be remembered most for her love of gardening and countless hours of volunteer service in the community. Frances was a member of the Wadsworth United Methodist Church, the Doylestown Garden Club and the State of Ohio Garden Club where she was past president, and Friends of the Library, Wadsworth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester and brother, Robert Allen. She leaves her sons, Alan "Jim" Root and Doug (Diane) Root; and grandsons, Daniel Root and David (Britt) Root. Frances also leaves many relatives and friends. Special thanks would like to be given by the family to Toni, her caregiver and Darl and Mina. The family would also like to thank the Hospice nurses and the Hospice Center for the support and care given to her and the family.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Wadsworth United Methodist Church, 195 Broad St., with Rev. Jim Winkler officiating. Burial at Chestnut Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, 44230 and also on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333 or to the Doylestown Garden Club. (Zak-Monbarren, 330-658-2211)

My deepest sympathies to you on the loss of your mother. Frances was such a gem. Region 14 of the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs has appreciated all she has done for our group. I enjoyed working with her and learning to know her. She will be greatly missed.

Dear Doug and Jim Now a new era in your lives..It is so heart wrenching when both of your parents have gone on to their final resting place with our Lord. My prayers and wishes for a peace that is with you both , knowing that we are all at a place in our lives where God wants us to be. Your mother was such a joy.
