She was retired from the O'Neil's Department Store after 25 years as a personal shopper. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Billows Chapter and St. Thomas Eastern Orthodox Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Andrew, in 1973, and daughter, Violet, she is survived by son, Nick of Ormond Beach, Fla.; daughter, Betty Jean Ashman of Irving, Calif.; grandchildren, Christine, Lisa Ann, Kathy, Karen, Andrea, and Jeffery; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 1446 S. Main St., with Father James Wright officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time. (Schermesser--Akron, 330-724-9351.)
