Glen Sayre Obituary
TALLMADGE -- Glen Sayre, 68, of Tallmadge Ohio, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013.
Glen was born in Pleasant Lake, Michigan on June 1, 1945. He graduated from Jackson High School before attending Chicago Institute of Technology. Glen owned and operated Sayer Builders in Jackson, Michigan. After moving to Ohio, he was the General Manager of Cisco Distributors. For the last eight years Glen was passionate about his home improvement business, he seemingly knew how to fix any problem. With his service came a sense of humor and integrity that endeared him to his customers, who also became his close friends. Glen enjoyed fishing and golf and was a master craftsman at furniture building. He was a remarkable man that had a great appreciation and knowledge for animals and nature.
Glen is survived by his bride of 27 years, Mary Ann; four children, Julie (Troy) Chappell, Christine Chaparro, Mark (Amy) Sayre, and Peggy Sayre; two stepchildren, Gwen (Bob) Forloine, and David (Margaret) Rose; 11 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ethan, Alexis, Chloe, Raquel, Brooke, Alexander, Matthew, Lauren, Natalie and Michael; three sisters, Susie Tiffany, Patty Rice, Martha Jean Allen; and the rest of his relatives and friends.
At Glen's request, rather than a memorial service, please remember him in life. Donations would be greatly appreciated to the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Rd., Twinsburg, Ohio 44087.

I went to school with Glen. Always enjoyed talking with him and getting his outlook on things. Like so many others, I wish we had stayed in touch over the years after school. To Glen's family, I as so sorry for your loss.

Glen was a great talented man. He helped me get my start in the industry when he was my manager at Cisco. He was a mentor to many men still working in the business. I will forever be grateful for him giving me the opportunities I have had.
