Greg Peters Obituary
Greg Peters, 50, of Akron, passed away suddenly Nov. 26, 2003.
Greg was born in Moundsville, W. Va., on Aug. 31, 1953, living most of his life in the Akron area. He was a gradu ate of Garfield High School, class of 1971, taking office duplicating, where he learned his knowledge of graphic arts, past president of the Junior Boys Unit of the V.F.W. Post 3383. He was employed at the Akron General Medical Center, Summit County Department of Human Services, and presently at the Odd Corner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Irene Peters. He is survived by his sister, Rene (Steve) Keene; and his favorite nephew, Brandon Keene, all of Concord, N.C.; fiancee, Laurie Cunningham and her daughter, Jessica, of Akron; special friend, Skip Sheffler; aunt, Ilene Howell of West Virginia; cousins, Jim and Pat Howell of Akron; uncle, Gene Peters of West Virginia; aunt, Libby Kostelecky of Florida; and many other loving family and friends. "Greg. you will be dear ly missed."
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at the Schermesser Funeral Home, Akron Chapel, 1446 S. Main St., Akron, Ohio 44301, with Pastor Carol McCartney officiating. Calling hours will be Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home. (Schermesser, Akron Chapel, 330-724-9351.)

Greg had the best vibe of anyone I've met. He always was happy when I came in with flyers for shows. The incredible positive feeling from him will always be with me. Greg, I'll miss you brother!

I have'nt forgotten you, even though it's been a long time since I've seen your face or heard your voice, but mixed together with my sadness there is a great joy for having known you. I want to thank you for the time we shared and for the love you gave. Your life has ended but your light can never be extinguished ,it has left a permanent imprint on our souls that can never be erased. My deepest sympathy to Greg's family and friends!

I only knew Greg through work. I work at the gas station across from from the Odd Corner. He came in quite a bit and I knew him enough to know know that he was a good man and didn't deserve to die. He was a great customer of mine and will be missed.

My friend was the kindest and most giving person I knew. We lived some of the best years of my life. His family was kind and I always felt like one of them. His loss of life hurts me very much. Goddbye old friend till we meet again love you John.
