CUYAHOGA FALLS -- On December 27th, God's newest angel, Harold E. Robinson (Robbie), a resident of Cuyahoga Falls for the past 59 years, used his brand new angel wings to take his first flight ever, right up to heaven.
The world's greatest husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and admired friend, will be greatly missed by all who loved and were lucky enough to be touched by him during his time on earth... Our loss is heaven's gain. Robbie is now standing first in line to perform whatever task God might assign. What a perfect angel he now is. His earthly presence will be greatly missed by all.
Born November 12, 1922, Robbie was reared in Stow, Ohio. He served in the Army in the European Campaign during World War II. He was awarded three Bronze Stars for heroic actions. He was a modest man and never spoke of his contributions to the war effort. He loved his country and frequently talked about how proud he was to be an American and how President Roosevelt took care of those in need during the Great Depression. He felt he could never do enough for The United States. Robbie spent his professional career with Ohio Bell Telephone Company. Upon retirement, he worked several years at Taylor Memorial Library in Cuyahoga Falls where he felt he was best able to serve his community.
Preceded in death by his parents; and brothers; he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Babette; children, Danny Robinson (Penny), Kathi Williams (Tim Shannon), Debbie Robinson, Peter Wasnac (Patti), Kim Paradis (Jim Kleintop), Polly Roeder (Terry); grandsons, Don Williams (Sherri), Benjamin Paradis (Brandy), Andrew Wasnac; granddaughters, Hannah Roeder, Sarah Wasnac, Rachel Wasnac (Scott), Emily Wasnac; and great-grandson, Noah Nelson; and very special great-grandson, Tyler Williams; his "little friends" that made "Pop"feel special when they came to visit, Brian and Katie Downs, Gavin and Nolan Williams.
Mr. Mark Brazle will conduct a service at the Redmon Funeral Home on Sunday, December 30th at 3 p.m. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the service. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be at Chestnut Hill Burial Park later during the week. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229-3095.

Dear Family,
I worked with Robie in my first few years at Ohio Bell. He was one of the few people in my work life that made me feel good to come to work.
God bless him, and may God's peace be with you.

Babette and family,
I was truly sad to hear of Robbies passing. I worked at the library with him for several years and you could not ask for a kinder
more humble human being. I'm sure He will be greatly missed by all .

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

My memories of our families together are so strong in my childhood thoughts. My Dad cherished his friendship with your Dad, for Ob was a faithful and loyal friend. Dad would recite his memories in school with your Dad as they grew up. I know that they are together throwing the football around. May God bless your family in this difficult time.

Dear Family,
We will surely miss your husband/father at the library. He was always pleasant and helpful. It was nice to read about his life and about his accomplishements. I just knew that there was real character to this kind man. May God be with you and your family today and in the weeks ahead. ~Larry & Annette Stertzbach Family
