Jamesetta Antoine went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 14, 2005.
She was a resident of Akron, al though spending many years in Windham, Ohio, with godparents John (Gloria) MaGahee.
She was preceded in death by father, James Carter, and grandmoth er, Leona Henderson. She is survived by mother, Stephanie Antoine; stepfather, Tom T.; grandfather, Edward Henderson; children, James, Terrance, and Akili Antoine; sisters, Detra and Tomika Antoine, Anita Johnson; brothers, Damon (Shauna); stepbrothers, James Carter, Bobby Carter, Wayne Ball; uncles, Bernard, Donnie (Sherri), Kenneth (Mineta) An toine; aunts, Carmen Crosby (Earl, deceased), Angela An toine; great-aunt, Elsie Andrus; special cousins, Bernette and Bernard (Alisha) Antoine, Latwane, Deon and Denise Carter, Ronnie (Davonda) Antoine, Donnie and Ellington Antoine, Kim (Larry) Jacobs; family friend, Derrick Mims and James Howard; special friends, Amy Ford and Tonya Durham; a host of nieces and nephews, and many more loved ones.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at Sommerville Funeral Services, 1695 Diagonal Rd., Akron, Ohio 44320. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Condolences may be sent to 351 Noah Ave. 44320. (Som merville, 330-836-2725.)

To the Antione Famliy,
Jamie was a very active member of the Help Me Grow Program at East Akron Community House where I was her worker. Jamie had been in the program for almost a year.
My heart is deeply heavy for the loss of a client and a dear friend. We shared many wonderful laughs. I will deeply and truly miss Jamie. I will do anything in my power for her boys as needed. May God provide a sense of comfort and guidance for you all during this time of sadness. Jamie has absolutely touched my life, I will never forget her. Never.

At this time what words can be said to comfort one who has lost someone so precious and dear to them I know that your hearts are hurting and you are seeking all kind of answer but the response are not there. Seek the Lord for he knows your sorrows and he knows they won't be gone away in a hour or tomorrow, but God is there to protect you and guide you and see you through this most difficult time, To the children of Jamesetta God will carry you through he will comfort you,direct you and love you on the days you are feeling lonely and missing your mother God will embrace you and say its okay. Jamesetta was a good woman, mother and person God has prepared a better place for her she is safe and out of harms way May God let you all see, know and understand that when God steps in there will always be peace with in so give your faith,heart and love to God today and allow God to comfort you and your family and the lovely children that Jamesetta left behind for He knows what is best for us.
